The merman said, “Go ahead.”

Bai Ling’s eyelashes fluttered in sheer panic. He felt the blood rushing straight to his head, making his brain dizzy and causing his words to falter slightly:

“…You aren’t being serious, are you?”

Yu Chen didn’t answer, throwing a brief downward glance as the bird in his arms tensed against him. The young man’s left leg was long and powerful, the arch of his foot beautifully tensed from regular exercise; his right leg, however, was missing a substantial portion, a detail that brought regret to one’s heart.

He resembled a broken porcelain doll, possessing a certain fragmented, morbid beauty.

Such a fierce temperament combined with a broken physique meant that no matter where he went, he was easily a target to be destroyed.

Bai Ling anxiously grabbed the man’s arm, his missing leg swinging helplessly in the air, carrying an almost imperceptible hint of embarrassment and pleading: “Don’t do this. Let me down, okay? I’ll do it myself.”

Yu Chen slowly shifted his deep green pupils, leaning close to the edge of his ear to say, “My darling can’t stand on his own. I’ll help you.”

Having reached this point, there was absolutely no room for negotiation.

Bai Ling closed his eyes in despair, his breath coming intermittently. He felt Yu Chen slightly loosen his arm; a palm slid up through his legs and pressed down against his lower abdomen, delivering two or three rapid, precise presses before helping him unzip his pants.

The young omega let out a soft whine, his calves suddenly curling up as his entire frame shuddered. His body tensed like a startled mimosa plant being deliberately twisted until its juices sprayed into the ceramic bowl.

Bai Ling’s mind went entirely blank, and his residual limb held securely by the merman twitched slightly in a nervous reflex.

Unable to aim properly, a portion ran down his backside and onto the merman, staining the man’s cold-grey trousers with a large, meandering wet patch.

It made a complete mess.

His eyes were vacant and his lips moved soundlessly. Yu Chen looked down for a moment and read his lips:

I. Will. Kill. You.

Yu Chen showed nothing but absolute indulgence: “Don’t be afraid. It’s not the first time you’ve ruined my trousers.”

The falcon’s eyelids blushed a faint red, his white teeth biting down hard against his lip. He was red from his neck all the way to his fingertips; it felt as if he were tossed in a hot pan for another couple of flips, he would be thoroughly cooked.

Yu Chen held him, shaking the bird’s leg slightly to drain the remaining moisture.

Bai Ling finally snapped out of it, kicking him in a rage: “What are you shaking for? Get me some paper and wipe it!”

Yu Chen reluctantly put him down, using one hand to shut the toilet lid and the other to press the flush button. Had his tail still been present, it would certainly be coiled securely around the bird’s leg.

However, this bird had “rejection” written all over his body. His breathing was incredibly ragged, his thin chest heaving up and down as he shot a murderous glare over. Looking completely and utterly bullied.

Sure enough, in the next second, a bird’s claw reached out, grabbing a fistful of that brilliant golden hair and tugging it viciously through gritted teeth:

“What do you take me for? Your toy? Believe it or not, I’ll yank your golden locks clean off.”

Yu Chen tilted his chin slightly, his brow smoothing out.

Bai Ling instinctively released his grip, then asked in annoyance, “What kind of expression is that?”

“Enjoyment.”

“……”

Bai Ling was silent for a moment against the man’s bulletproof indifference, offering a cold sneer: “You purebloods certainly have bizarre interests.”

Yu Chen picked up a towel and dropped to a half-squat, carefully wiping the moist, pale skin. He noted casually, “I don’t find you bizarre at all. I only find you lovely.”

Indirectly saying he’s his interest.

The roundabout confessions are starting again, aren’t they?

Bai Ling rolled his lips in annoyance, thoroughly lacking the energy to entertain him, yet he had to admit this guy did hold a shred of sincerity toward him.

Especially when the man bent slightly, patiently parting his legs to wipe them down. That handsome face was distinctly lazy and casual, but the moment he looked up to meet Bai Ling’s eyes, those green irises were like a sliver of light breaking through a dark forest. The consumption, danger, and unadulterated possessiveness within them stood completely exposed.

Bai Ling felt a subtle skip in his heartbeat from that single, gentle glance.

It felt as if the man might lunge forward at any moment to tear him apart and swallow him whole. His eyes and emotions betrayed a pure intent to do bad things, yet his wiping motion was so light and tender, as if terrified of breaking him.

Bai Ling maintained a cold expression, stepping lightly on the merman’s foot and lifting his chin. “Did you bring clean clothes?”

“There are some in the cabin. I’ll go fetch them.” Yu Chen folded the towel and casually draped it over the sink basin.

The merman rolled up his shirt sleeves, revealing the smooth muscular lines of his forearms, casual yet with an aristocratic flair. Noticing Bai Ling’s gaze, he lifted his eyes and flashed a slight smile.

Bai Ling ground his teeth, his eyes narrowing dangerously: “I hate you to death.”

The moment the words left his mouth, his wrist was completely caught. The merman took his wrist, brought it to his lips for a soft press, intimate and lingering.

Bai Ling was expressionless: “I didn’t wash my hands.”

Yu Chen stood straight, completely unfazed. Exploiting his height to look down at him from above, he let out a low laugh: “I don’t mind. Raising a child is always like this.”

Hearing this, Bai Ling used his good foot to lightly kick the man’s shin, letting out a cold huff: “Go get your clothes.”

Yu Chen took all these minor, harmless scuffles as pure flirtation. Finding a change of clothes in the dressing room, he shifted into a clean outfit himself. When he stepped back into the bathroom, however, the bird was nowhere to be seen.

He had fled.

Yu Chen wasn’t in a hurry. The reason he hadn’t let the bodyguards close the door earlier was precisely to leave a retreat for the omega. When rearing birds, one must never use a round cage; a lack of corners to hide in would cause the bird’s psychological stress to spike.

Yu Chen was used to acting without restraint, and when his malicious streak hit, he would bully his little Fledgling. But when it came to boundaries affecting the omega’s physical and mental well-being, he maintained a strict hold.

Besides, if he ran, he ran. He would just scoop him back into his arms for a bit of fun once they disembarked.

Yu Chen walked back to the seats in the viewing cabin. Lifting his eyes for a casual glance, he froze on the spot.

In a corner of the beige leather sofa, a tuft of soft white hair peeked out. The bird had one long leg bent, the back of his neck resting against the sofa’s armrest, curled entirely within his seat.

Clearly a cold beauty of prominent height, yet right now he was shrunk down like a little falcon dumpling, looking as though anyone could walk up, scoop him into their arms, and give him a good rub.

Of course, anyone who dared reach a hand toward Bai Ling would need the resolve to be pecked until they bled.
