Fake Fairy Tale

At first, Ming Shu thought he had simply dropped into a straightforward fairy tale dungeon.

The trees provided a lush shade as sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves. A young man carrying a bamboo basket picked up a pinecone from the ground and smiled shyly at him.

[Fairy Tale Game] Instance 1: Night of the Full Moon

Plot Synopsis: This is a prosperous village that has long suffered from werewolf attacks. The villagers can no longer endure the torment and are preparing to fight back.

System: [Please unleash your true nature to your heart’s content and pounce on the villager before you!]

Ming Shu: ??? What true nature?

It wasn’t until the night of the full moon that a pair of fluffy ears and a wolf’s tail sprouted from Ming Shu’s body right in front of the young man.

System: [You have been exposed! Please escape from the villagers as quickly as possible.]

Yet, Ming Shu was still caught. Pinching the side of his fair, fragile neck, the young man raised a bite guard in his hand: “Pull your teeth out, or put this on? Choose one.”

[Fairy Tale Game] Instance 2: The Merfolk Chief

In the second dungeon, Ming Shu became a little merman living in the depths of the ocean.

He was the weakest Silver Tail and rarely dared to venture out under normal circumstances, terrified of being caught and eaten by other deep-sea monsters.

Plot Synopsis: The merfolk and the sea serpents each occupy a territory of the ocean. They harbor mutual hostility, maintaining a fragile facade of peace.

System: [Disguise your identity, infiltrate the sea serpent clan, and bide your time for an opportunity.]

Knowing that sea serpents detested merfolk the most, Ming Shu trembled: “…I think I might die.”

He carefully hid his fish tail to save his own skin. After successfully winning the favor of the sea serpent leader, he swiftly fled with the leader’s venom.

Not long after, Ming Shu crossed paths with the sea serpent leader, who had come to visit the merfolk territory as a guest.

The deep-sea giant serpent maintained a half-human form. Its serpent tail slithered out from beneath the hem of its pitch-black robe, tightly binding Ming Shu’s body as its rough scales painfully scraped against his skin.

Confined within that freezing embrace, Ming Shu couldn’t move his fish tail at all.

[Fairy Tale Game] Instance 3: The Dragon and the Elf

In the third dungeon, Ming Shu was a little elf protecting His Highness the Dragon Prince. He possessed two pairs of transparent wings and was only the size of a palm.

The Dragon Prince had just reached adulthood; he was innocent, kind-hearted, and worldly inexperienced.

Plot Synopsis: Every dragon possesses their own exclusive guardian elf. Guardian elves are born for the dragons, and they die for the dragons.

System: [Please steal the wizard’s black magic book and use a curse to turn the Dragon Prince into a monster.]

The incantation was obscure and difficult to understand. Ming Shu stumbled through the recital, accidentally botched it, and was caught red-handed by His Highness on the spot.

System: [Danger!]

Author’s Notes / Tags

1. Original fairy tale setting, leaning towards Western fantasy style. [Romance-driven]. Shou is a cowardly little beauty with zero combat power, a gorgeous ordinary person whose survival relies entirely on laying low and having a beautiful face.
2. Fragmented Gong. The number of fragments in each dungeon is not fixed, and their screen time varies.
3. This is the author’s first time writing this genre, so the quality may fluctuate. The style of each instance might differ slightly; if you dislike a particular arc, you can skip it directly without affecting the main storyline.
