My Translating Corner
Chapter Index

Today is the day the Interstellar Court reopens.

Cases tried on the Interstellar Court Planet generally don’t attract much attention, but today is different. The live broadcast of this court session was open to the entire interstellar population.

[Has the trial started? Is it being broadcast now? I’m already tuned in; I wonder if the network will crash later.]

[Do you want to see our most beautiful…?]

[Pah, what’s the most beautiful… General is definitely innocent!]

If Gu Huan had really harmed the Crown Prince, the current scene would have become a public execution. So, nothing must have happened; otherwise, how could the military openly broadcast it?

Indeed.

Gu Huan had almost figured out the whole story during his recovery time. He also knew what evidence Xiao Ling had preserved. Because, during this period of rest, some very detailed memories had surfaced, and he discovered that in the original story, the antagonist might have spared Chu Xinglin, but in this world, he had spared Chu Xinglin.

The evidence was that he had once manipulated the coordinates using Xiao Ling, making a wormhole look like a black hole. Because Chu Xinglin was the son of Empress Gu Nan, even if he had been deceived, he didn’t want to kill Chu Xinglin. At that time, he just wanted Chu Xinglin to be seriously injured and not appear on Victory Day, in order to not affect his revenge.

Gu Huan walked toward the transport vehicle in handcuffs.

Old Marshal Gu was also waiting at the courtroom door. His grandson Chu Xinglin showed a confident and warm smile, as if saying everything was settled, allowing him to walk toward him with confidence.

“Teacher.” Gu Huan, dressed in a white T-shirt, nodded and called him respectfully.

Old Marshal Gu sighed deeply. “I never thought I’d send another Empress into the palace. If you also enter the palace, who will inherit my marshal position?”

This was the thing Old Marshal Gu worried about the most. So, he wanted to find some evidence that they might have acted impulsively in their love affairs, but unfortunately, after so long, he hadn’t found any, and his grandson kept persuading him.

Finally, Chu Xinglin used Chu Shengyun’s “heroic” deeds to convince him.

Chu Shenyun had sent an omega in estrus to Chu Xinglin in order to separate them, yet he remained unfazed.

Chu Xinglin held Gu Huan’s hand. “He will be my marshal and also my Empress. I will never limit my beloved one like my father did.”

Regardless of how much this matter shocked the Old Marshal, Gu Huan still went to court.

Xiao Ling’s data showed the efforts he made to save Chu Xinglin’s life even after being threatened. With the support of the jury, Gu Huan made his final statement of innocence. Standing at the center, the lights flickered on his shiny black hair, as if favoring him, highlighting his fair and exquisite face.

“I’ve said it before; I will follow him forever.”

“This feeling will never change.”

His golden eyes looked towards the blond alpha looking at him from the other side.

When the judge announced his innocence, his golden retriever was the first one to rush up and hug him.

“I will also be with you forever.”

Seven years later.

Everyone in the entire interstellar community knows that the Empire’s Marshal is actually an omega.

What’s there to be surprised about?

The Marshal and His Majesty, the Emperor, have been in love for so long and have been featured in entertainment news so many times that they wouldn’t be surprised if they announced their wedding tomorrow.

But, unexpectedly, the news of their marriage was officially announced the next second.

At their wedding, the newly appointed Jialing General, Nie Chuan, also attended. He entered the wedding venue with the mentality of a child whose parents were getting married. He cried while delivering a thank-you speech, then draped his arm around General Mo Xiao’s shoulder, and both of them got drunk.

Gu Huan, dressed in a black suit, looked as if he was the one getting married today, standing beside Chu Xinglin with a cold and aloof expression, arms crossed.

He didn’t touch a drop of alcohol.

Chu Xinglin, being a heavy drinker, took over Gu Huan’s share. Mo Xiao and Nie Chuan, on both sides, poured drinks for him.

“General, are you really not drinking? At least you should have a toast between the newlyweds.”

Although Gu Huan is now a Marshal, Yue Yang still couldn’t get used to it and preferred calling him General Gu Huan.

For the bridal chamber later, heh heh heh, the bridal chamber couldn’t be too serious. Regardless, the General should have a drink, or else he might feel embarrassed later.

Embarrassed?

After so many years of being an old married couple before getting married, how could he possibly feel embarrassed? Yue Yang was just worrying unnecessarily.

Gu Huan furrowed his brows slightly, looking at Chu Xinglin, who was enjoying the drinks, thinking that he might have to drag him back later.

Looking around, only He Qixing was sitting upright in a chair.

He Qixing had recently become a Major General. Two beautiful women, who resembled each other, sat on his left and right. They were the “inheritance” left by He Yunan. Not long after He Yunan passed away, He Qixing went to the Criminal planet to find Cheng Zhao and Cheng Dui, promising to take care of them like family. Cheng Zhao and Cheng Dui later became very loyal to He Qixing and helped him complete many dangerous tasks.

The Zerg had completely disappeared from the interstellar space now, and the matters of Zerg Crystal and artificial humans had become dusty history.

Gu Huan’s lips curved into a shallow smile, and he took a candy from the table.

He used to not eat sweets or desserts because he couldn’t quite taste the sweetness of sugar, always opting for coffee instead.

Now, he seemed to understand that sugar is indeed sweet.

While he chewed, the outer layer of chocolate melted, and a familiar taste slowly emerged.

“Where’s the General?”

Because his pheromones were like the smell of alcohol, Chu Xinglin had a good tolerance for alcohol. Even though Mo Xiao and Nie Chuan were both drunk, Chu Xinglin was only slightly tipsy.

He frowned, looking at Yue Yang, who seemed hesitant and wanted to say something. He asked again, “Where’s the General?”

Could something have happened to Gu Huan?

“He seems to be afraid that someone might poison him.” Yue Yang rubbed his cheek with some hesitation.

“Why?”

Chu Xinglin was even more puzzled.

“He seems to have sensed something, so he’s worried that someone might poison him.” Yue Yang hesitated for a moment before explaining.

“?” Chu Xinglin didn’t know what Gu Huan had sensed to make him think this way. Still, as a precaution, he ordered a search of the palace hall to see if anyone had poisoned the wedding banquet. Then he walked towards Gu Huan, who was sitting in the corner obediently.

Gu Huan’s condition seemed a bit off. His gaze was fixed on a certain point, and when he looked up at Chu Xinglin, there was a slight delay.

Chu Xinglin was startled, worried that Gu Huan might be under the control of the Zerg Crystal or something similar. As he walked over, he approached with caution. “Gu Huan, how are you?”

“Are you a prince?”

This question seems familiar?

In order to understand the situation, Chu Xinglin glanced at the candy wrapper Gu Huan was holding and then took a piece of candy from the table. Once he tasted it, he understood what was happening – it was liqueur-filled chocolate, and the alcohol was quite strong.

“Now, who do you think you are?” Chu Xinglin asked as he knelt down on one knee.

Gu Huan, with his golden eyes wide, touched his own hair and mumbled somewhat unclearly, “It’s so obvious… my skin is… white as snow, and my hair is as black as ebony”

“You don’t even recognize which princess I am.”

There is even a little awkwardness in the ending of his words.

Chu Xinglin: “I understand, you are Snow White.”

“You can’t tell. You must be a fake prince sent by the witch.” Gu Huan leaned on the table, his head resting on his hand, eyes half-closed, and he said in a soft and weak tone, “I have to wait for the true prince to come and save me.”

“That plot point has already passed.” Chu Xinglin embraced Gu Huan, holding him tightly. “Now, the princess is going to marry the prince, and it’s a happy ending.”

“I won’t.” Gu Huan resisted.

“Not marrying.”

Gu Huan waved his hand.

“You took the oath” Chu Xinglin, overflowing with pheromones, kissed Gu Huan on the lips, who was talking. “It has been sealed, and you can’t run away.”

After being kissed, Gu Huan found the familiar scent and forgot the words he said about not marrying earlier. He responded affectionately with a kiss.

The End.
